Individual Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy:Behavioral Health Counseling focuses on increasing an individual’s behavioral knowledge of health-related topics. Members are taught about the nature of an illness, relapse and symptom management, medication management, stress management, safe sex practices, HIV education, and managing healthy lifestyles through diet and exercise.
Services are provided in a face-to-face setting to an individual at their residence or other out-of-office site. |
Group Therapy:Group therapy provides everyone with the chance to give and receive emotional support while sharing ideas with others. It also helps members understand that they are not alone in their struggles and assists in developing community-based coping methods. Group Therapy is not always based on the same topic and is tailored to member needs.
BGAZ designs groups to have specific focuses, such as coping skills, impulsivity, substance abuse, anger management, depression, or basic living skills. Please contact us to learn what Group Therapies are currently available, or to suggest new topics/interests. |
